The Two Seas
Luke 6:38 (NIV)
In Israel, there are two seas. One is the Sea of Galilee – full of life, fish, trees, and children playing on its shores. The other is the Dead Sea – so salty that nothing lives in it. No fish, no plants, no birds.
The difference? The Sea of Galilee receives water from the Jordan River and then gives it out. It flows through to other lands. The Dead Sea receives water but has no outlet. It keeps everything for itself. It takes but never gives.
Moral: When we only receive blessings and never share them, we become stagnant. To be full of life, we must give as we receive.
