Prayer for Direction & Decision Making
Proverbs 3:5-6, James 1:5 (NIV)
Lord, I need guidance. I'm at a crossroads and I don't know which way to go. Every option seems uncertain. I'm afraid of making a mistake.
Your Word promises that if I lack wisdom, I can ask You, and You will give it generously. So I'm asking. Please make the path clear. Close the wrong doors. Open the right ones. If I need to wait, give me patience. If I need to act, give me boldness.
I will not rely on my own understanding. I will acknowledge You in all my ways, and trust that You will direct my steps. Help me to listen to wise counsel, to examine Your Word, and to sense the peace of the Holy Spirit as a confirmation.
I surrender my plans to You. Whatever decision I make, let it bring glory to Your name. And even if I stumble, pick me up. You are my compass.
