Prayer for Healing in a Hurting Relationship
Colossians 3:13, Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
Father, my heart aches over this broken relationship. Whether it's a marriage, friendship, family member, or coworker, the distance and pain feel unbearable.
I confess my part in this hurt. Show me where I have been wrong, proud, or unloving. Give me the courage to apologize and the humility to change. If the other person has hurt me, help me to forgive – not because they deserve it, but because You have forgiven me so much.
If reconciliation is possible, open the doors. Soften hardened hearts. Help us to communicate with kindness and listen with patience. If the relationship cannot be restored, give me peace and the strength to let go without bitterness.
Protect any children or innocent ones affected. Heal the wounds that keep me up at night. I release this person into Your hands. I will do my part to love, but I trust You with the outcome.
