The Carpenter's Tools
Corinthians 12:4-5 (NIV)
The tools in a carpenter's workshop had an argument. The Hammer said, “I'm useless because I only hit nails. I'm too loud.” The Screwdriver said, “I'm worthless because all I do is turn and turn.” The Sandpaper said, “Nobody likes me because I'm rough and abrasive.” The Measuring Tape said, “Everyone laughs at me because I'm always folding under pressure.”
Then the Carpenter spoke: “Each of you has a purpose. Without the Hammer, nails would stay loose. Without the Screwdriver, joints would come apart. Without Sandpaper, wood would stay rough. Without the Measuring Tape, nothing would be straight. You are not worthless. You are necessary.”
Moral: God has given each of us unique gifts. Don't compare yourself to others. Your purpose is exactly what He designed you for.
