Healing the Paralytic

Luke 5:17-26, Mark 2:1-12 (NIV)

A paralytic was brought to Jesus by four friends. They couldn't get through the crowd, so they went up on the roof and lowered the man through the tiles to Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Your sins are forgiven." The religious leaders thought Jesus was blaspheming. Jesus asked, "Which is easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven' or 'Get up and walk'?" Then he said, "I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home." The man got up and walked, praising God. Faith and persistence bring healingβ€”and sometimes the greatest healing starts with forgiveness.
