The Carpenter's Pencil

Romans 9:21, Philippians 2:13 (NIV)

A woodworker explained that his pencil was used to produce beautiful drawings, but first it had to be sharpened (prayer), leave its mark (witness), be guided by a hand (the Holy Spirit), and be willing to be corrected (repentance). Without these, it was just a stick. Like a pencil, we must be shaped, guided, and willing to leave our mark.
